Summary of Our Essential Beliefs

The Word of God: The Bible is the inspired, inerrant word of God, essential for teaching, correction, and righteousness. It is our ultimate and final authority on all things in this life.

God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit: One God exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, working in perfect unity for creation, redemption, and sanctification.

God the Father: God the Father is sovereign, wise, and loving, greater than all and the Creator and Sustainer of everything.

The Son – Jesus Christ: Jesus is the eternal Word, fully divine and human, who created all things and provides salvation through His death and resurrection.

The Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit empowers, teaches, and guides believers, producing spiritual fruit and ensuring believers’ sanctification and unity.

Man: Humanity, created in God’s image, fell into sin, resulting in separation from God, but reconciliation is available through Jesus Christ.

Salvation: Salvation is a gift of grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not by works, assuring eternal life and righteousness for believers.

Resurrection: Jesus’ resurrection confirms His victory over sin and death, assuring believers of their future resurrection and eternal life.

Return of Jesus: Jesus will return in power and glory, gathering His followers and establishing God’s eternal kingdom.

Eternal Punishment: God’s righteous judgment includes eternal punishment for those who reject Him and do not obey the gospel.

The Church: The Church is the unified body of believers with Christ as the head, called to love, serve, and build each other up.

Baptism: Baptism is an outward sign of an inward faith, symbolizing the believer’s identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.

The Lord’s Supper: The Lord’s Supper is a remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice, proclaiming His death and anticipating His return.

Love: Love is the greatest commandment, reflecting God’s nature and required in all relationships among believers.

Spiritual Gifts: Spiritual gifts are diverse abilities given by the Holy Spirit for the common good and the building up of the Church.

Unity of the Body: Unity among believers is essential, reflecting the oneness of God and demonstrating the reality of the gospel.

Conflict: Christians are called to handle conflict with grace, forgiveness, and peace, reflecting Christ’s love and humility.

Forgiveness: Forgiveness is central to the Christian faith, mirroring God’s forgiveness of us through Christ and fostering reconciliation.

Making Disciples: Believers are commanded to make disciples, baptizing and teaching them to obey Christ’s commands, empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Prayer: Prayer is essential for communicating with God, involving sincere petitions, intercessions, thanksgiving, and reliance on the Holy Spirit.

Humility: Humility, modeled by Christ, involves considering others above oneself and living with gentleness, patience, and love.

Marriage: Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, reflecting Christ’s relationship with the Church and characterized by love and respect.

Spiritual Warfare: Believers are engaged in spiritual warfare, requiring the full armor of God to stand against the devil’s schemes and remain faithful.
